SF360 Events
As the city’s premier film and media organization, SFFS celebrates the vitality and variety of the Bay Area film and media scene through several exciting year-round citywide initiatives.
SF360 Film+Club
This monthly social screening series, presented by the Film Society, Mezzanine and Rehab, takes movies out of the theater and puts them in the club. The event, which has been called the hipster night at the movies, aims to explore the more social aspect of going to the movies and often combines a live component. Past events have included Next: A Primer on Urban Painting with a live graffiti demonstration, a double feature of skateboarding documentaries, Trapped in the Closet Sing-Along, and more. Email or visit the Film Society for details on the latest Film+Club.
SF360 Movie Night
This is the Film Society’s citywide film screening that aims to get all of San Francisco watching the same movie on the same night. One city, one movie, one night. Film lovers throughout the city are encouraged to have house screenings and then all are gather together at a local bar for drinks and discussion. Recently, the Film Society partnered with Film Movement, a monthly DVD club that provides early access to award-winning independent and foreign films. Past titles include Her Name Is Sabine, American Blackout and Street Fight. Email our membership coordinator for details on the next Movie Night.
SF360 Movie Scene
This monthly TV show, presented by the Film Society and Comcast-SF Channel 11, is the only show devoted entirely to the Bay Area’s independent film, art house film and film festival community. Hosted by the Film Society’s Rod Armstrong and the *SF Bay Guardian*’s Cheryl Eddy, the 30 minutes of TV magic airs the first Monday of the month. Recent guests have included Colin Farrell, Anita Monga and Marc Huestis. For current showtimes, visit Comcast-SF.
