Melissa Fairbanks, the granddaughter of Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. (second from right) surprised SF Silent Film Festival’s Acting Artistic Director Anita Monga, Board President Judy Wyler Sheldon and Executive Director Stacey Wisnia l when she attended the opening night screening of The Gaucho (1927) featuring a jaw-dropping athletic performance by her grandfather.
