SF Jewish Film Festival opens
Peter Stein and Nancy Fishman (left), who will step down from her post as director of programming for the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival in the fall, welcomed Cindy Corrie, the mother of activist Rachel Corrie, to the Festival’s opening night party. Simone Bitton’s harrowing doc Rachel, which plays at the Festival, investigates the circumstances surrounding Rachel Corrie’s death in Gaza in 2003. And Nancy will be back at SFJFF in 2010 presenting a program on Jewish gangsters in film.
