The AFF’s first Noor Awards were presented last Thursday at the Castro. Winners were Katia Saleh’s “Ashura: Blood and Beauty” (Lebanon, 2006, for Best Short), Nadia Kamel’s “Salata Baladi” (Egypt, 2007, for Best Doc), and Jilani Saadi’s “Tender Is the Wolf” (“Ors El Dhib”) (Tunisia, 2006, for Best Feature).
