Bay Area filmmaking got a lift via the SFFS/Kenneth Rainin Foundation Filmmaking Grant and other awards announced Wednesday at the SF International. Winner of the first SFFS/KRF grant in a five-year cycle ($35,000) was Richard Levien, hoisted by Golden Gate Award winner for Best Bay Area Documentary, Jim Granato (D Tour).
