AMIA 2010 (November 2–6) In 2010, the Association of Moving Image Archivists and the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives will come together for the first time in a joint conference. The conference program focuses on urgent problems faced by the "lone arranger" to a national collection, with attention to pressures of shifting technologies and managing budgets. (July 2-4) presented by the European Cinema Research Forum. The conference aims to complement current work comparing European Cinema to other ‘World’ cinemas and Hollywood cinemas by examining European cinema from within, asking what it means to watch, produce and analyse films within Europe and what political, ideological and cultural issues may be at stake in this activity.
